Muslim Community Cultural Center of Baltimore

The Muslim Community Cultural Center of Baltimore (formally the Bergner Mansion) is located 3401 West North Avenue in Leakin Park. We have been in operation since 1990. Our mission is to provide cultural, educational and social resources to the Greater Walbrook Community. Inside the Muslim Community Cultural Center we have an administrative office, a room for prayer/classes, a community bookstore and a computer lab.

We have established several community programs; a mentoring program at Edgewood Elementary School, the program was started in 1998. Our mentoring program offers the student motivational concepts in education, self-esteem, good grooming, peer pressure, self-discipline and positive values. In July of 2000 we sponsored our first summer camp for children ages 8 to 14 years old. Also, in the fall of 1999 we operated our first tutoring and enrichment program to help elementary and middle school students. Our Neighborhood Builders Program started in 1999 and this program is the most ambitious of our community programs. Our first project for Neighborhood Builders is a new culture center
